US Gov't to Extend and Expand Foreclosure Program

Well, some interesting news was published today in the New York Times.

The Associated Press reported that The Obama administration will expand its signature foreclosure-prevention program to try to help those with heavy debt loads avoid losing their homes.

The Home Affordable Modification Program will also be extended through 2013.

The government will triple the financial incentives for private lenders to reduce the principal amount of mortgages for homeowners at risk of losing their homes. And ...

Foreclosure Mediations Continue in New Jersey

Well, yesterday I had the opportunity to work on five mediations for the Bergen County court.  The day began with both sides represented by counsel (the banks always have attorneys of course).  And the classic situation I've seen over the past three years presented itself.  Banks asks for info - defendant gives all the info - come to mediation - banks wants new info.

I beg defendant counsel to PLEASE be pro-active -- be "all over" the servicer - did you receive the information we sent?  Is it ...
